Rhododendron ‘Devin’ PBR

A late-flowering variety with colorful and fragrant flowers from the group of large-flowered rhododendrons. Fast-growing, evergreen shrub with an erect, dense habit, reaching 1.1 m in height after 10 years of cultivation. Elongated, leathery, bright green, glossy leaves. Pink-violet flowers, bell-shaped, about 8 cm in diameter, gathered at the tops of the shoots in domed inflorescences. After unfolding, the flowers are wide open, white-pink in the center with a large, purple pattern on the upper petal, creating an attractive eye, and a long, white,  upward bent pistil and white threads of stamens. Plants bloom in June. Frost resistant variety (zone 5b). Requires acidic soils, preferably humus, peat, constantly moderately moist and semi-shaded positions. The shrub is recommended for cultivation in home gardens, parks and urban green areas.
