A small shrub with semi-evergreen, variegated leaves and a naturally spherical, compact shape. The variety obtained in France grows up to 1 m in height. Thin, reddish shoots, shiny, ovate leaves. Young leaves are light green, with an irregular, golden, sometimes pink border. Older leaves are grey-green with a white margin. Single, light pink bell-shaped flowers, collected in inflorescences. It blooms at the turn of May and June, about three weeks earlier than other varieties of large-flowered abelia, and blooms until October. In Poland, the plant is sensitive to frost and requires covering with straw in winter. It can be grown in containers, as a terrace plant, and kept in bright, cool rooms for the winter.
