Hydrangea arborescens CANDYBELLE MARSHMALLOW
Variety with pale pink inflorescences growing on stiff, strong shoots that do not bend over from the weight of the flowers. A shrub with a compact habit, from 0.5 to 1 m in height and up to 0.8-1 m in width. Large, dark green leaves, delicate pink flowers collected in globular inflorescences. It blooms from the end of June to August, with dry inflorescences remaining ornamental until the end of the season, also through the winter. In early spring it requires a strong cutting low to the ground.
Requires fertile, humus-rich, constantly moist, neutral or alkaline soils in sunny and shady locations. Healthy variety, frost resistant (zone 5b).
Recommended for planting in groups or individually in small backyard gardens, estates and in containers.
