Carpinus betulus LANCELOT

A variety selected in Hungary with a very narrow, columnar shape and healthy foliage. Erect branches and spindle-shaped crown. The tree eventually reaches about 8 m in height. Leaf blades are ovate, pointed at the tips, with distinct ribbed veins, dark green, massive. This variety tolerates transplanting well and easily resumes growth after transplanting. It prefers sunny and semi-shaded positions. The plant is resistant to frost and heat. Recommended for use as a roadside and street tree in urban areas and as an interesting solitaire in home gardens and allotments.
