Obtained in Germany. A low growing evergreen shrub with creeping shoots, covered with masses of white flowers in spring, and red berries in autumn and winter. It grows to about 30 cm in height. The year round adornment of the plant is the small decorative leaves, dark green and leathery with a shiny surface. It blooms profusely in May and June. The variety is resistant to frost and fungal diseases, mainly anthracnose (Colletotrichum), which is a big problem in the cultivation of wildflowers. It looks beautiful when planted on heathlands. It is suitable for both large and small home gardens, as well as for decorating balconies and terraces as a container plant.
