Hydrangea serrata DAREDEVIL

The first variety of hydrangea with dark red leaves, retaining this color throughout the season. Bred in France, the bush grows slowly with a compact, rounded and dense shape, reaching 0.5–0.8 m in height. Oval leaves, from dark green and dark red, through burgundy to almost black. It blooms in June on two-year-old shoots, and repeats flowering on one-year-old shoots in the second half of the summer. Flat inflorescences, composed of fertile and sterile flowers, variable in color, from light pink to red to purple. Frost-resistant variety, easy to grow. It prefers semi-shady and sunny positions. Recommended for small home gardens. It is also suitable for growing in containers on balconies and terraces.
