A German variety of arborvitae, distinguished from other selections of this type by its strong growth, characteristic of columnar forms. Material with a height of 80-100 cm in open ground cultivation is obtained one year faster than in the case of the standard 'Brabant' variety. The plants are dense. Their side shoots are arranged vertically, giving the bushes a natural conical shape. Pruning almost unnecessary, which is another advantage of this variety. Ultimately, it grows to about 10 m in height. It prefers fertile, moist garden soil, sunny to semi-shaded positions. Recommended mainly as a hedge and espalier plant.
