A remarkable cultivar for its unique coloration and low maintenance requirements. In spring, it brightens garden beds with narrow, white-and-green striped leaves. By late summer, the foliage transforms into shades of pink and purple, like a chameleon. At that time, dark-colored flower spikes also begin to appear. It grows to 90–110 cm in height, maintaining an upright habit and showing no invasive tendencies. Compared to other cultivars 'Chameleon' is the most compact, with good tillering and suitability for container cultivation. Recommended for urban plantings in dry locations where irrigation and fertilization are limited. It can overwinter in containers without protection. Hardiness zone: 3 -40/-35 °C
