A perennial groundcover forming compact pillows of large, blue-violet flowers. It spreads strongly and grows up to 40 cm in height. The flowers are up to 4 cm in diameter, comprised of five rounded, blue-lilac petals with lighter bases, forming a bright eyelet in the center of the flower. Flowers appear earlier than in other varieties and bloom continuously from late spring until autumn frosts. Perennial easy to grow, tolerant of soil type. It prefers a semi-shaded position, but can also grow in sun or shade. It is perfect as a groundcover perennial, planted in flowerbeds in informal and naturalistic gardens, as well as in containers on balconies and terraces.
