Digitalis 'Pink Panther'
Compact, tufty perennial with erect habit and slender stems, reaching 40 to 50 cm in height. Green leaves of various sizes. The large basal leaves form a rosette from which numerous, slender inflorescence shoots grow in early summer. Features magenta, bell-shaped flowers in the shape of a thimble, inside with white-brown spots, arranged in clusters. The plant blooms in June and blooms for a long time, luring numerous pollinating insects.
It grows best on fertile, humus, moderately moist and permeable soils, with pH 5.5-6.5, in sunny to semi-shaded locations. Frost resistant variety (zone 5).
Recommended for planting in perennial beds in rustic and naturalistic gardens as well as in containers on balconies and terraces.
Cultivar bred by Takii and released to the market by this company as well as by Florensis in 2018.
