Salvia nemorosa BLUE MARVEL ‘Balsalarv’ PBR

Compact perennial with erect habit and large blue flowers that reliably repeats flowering. During flowering, it reaches 25-30 cm in height. Creates small, elliptical leaves with notched edges. The leaf blades are green and wrinkled. The very large, dorsal, dark blue flowers with pinkish-purple bracts, gathered in simple spiky inflorescences are considered to be one of the largest among salvia nemorosa. The plant blooms in June and July, attracting bees and butterflies. Removal of faded inflorescences stimulates plants to develop new flower buds and flower again. Tolerant perennial, grows well in moderately moist to dry soils, in sunny positions. Frost resistant variety (zone 5). Recommended for planting in groups in perennial beds, in rock gardens; also suitable for growing in containers.
