An upright ornamental grass distinguished by its exceptionally numerous, airy, purple flower spikes. Molinia 'Banshee' blooms in June, reaching a height of 80–100 cm, and can continue producing colorful inflorescences well into autumn. By late fall, the flower spikes turn beige, while the foliage shifts to vibrant shades of orange and yellow. This sterile cultivar is frost-hardy and resistant to lodging. It thrives in both moist and dry soils, making it highly adaptable. Thanks to its hardiness and compact size, it is also suitable for container cultivation. Hardiness zone: 4 -34/-29 °C
