Juniperus communis SENTINEL GOLD

A Polish cultivar, one of the narrowest columnar forms of common juniper, reaching approximately 1.5 m in height and only 0.3 m in width after 10 years of cultivation. The shoots and branchlets are short, slender, upright, and closely spaced, forming a dense, uniform surface. It lacks a central leader, with a narrow, pointed crown. The needles are short and yellow in color. It grows well in most well-drained garden soils and requires a sunny position. This cultivar is recommended for planting in heath gardens, rock gardens, and mixed conifer beds. Hardiness zone: 6a (–23 to –21°C).
