Natural Choice - Green is Life & Flower Expo Poland 2019

On 5-7 September 2019 at the EXPO XXI Warsaw, two industry events will take placethe 27th International GREEN IS LIFE (ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, perennials and technologies) as well as the 4th edition of the FLOWER EXPO POLAND (representing cut flowers, potted plants and decorative accessories).  The Organizers – Polish Nurserymen Association and the Agencja Pomocja Zieleni – have invited over 250 exhibitors from ten countries: Poland, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Belgium, France, Lithuania, Kenya and the USA.

PLANTS AND GARDENS IN THE INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVE

Novelties in the field of technological and breeding achievements, top quality products, a rich program of accompanying events to the busy shows, workshops and seminars. The GREEN IS LIFE and the FLOWER EXPO POLAND culminate years of tradition and their proven formula, providing the opportunity to build direct relationships with large business potential. It is also a place where industry leaders and hobbyists come to meet, an invitation to take part in discussions, as well as an overview of the dynamic and growing strength of the “green sector of the economy.”

GREEN INDUSTRY

This year's theme of the fair and the synergy of events is  Natural Choice. The slogan emphasizes the fundamental role of greenery in our lives and our passion for plants and flowers, which are an indispensable element of celebrating life’s most important events, but also an essential component in arranging everyday space.

The motto is an inspiration for preparation of the program, among others the Strongly Green City conference addressed to managers of city greenery, its designers and contractors. Marcin Gąsiorowski, a landscape architect who has practiced for many years in Germany and Poland and specializes in naturalistic premises, will be a keynote speaker. The conference program will also include such topics as: “Pocket parks of Krakow”, “Bicycle paths, and collisions with greenery” or “Code of good practices in gardening”.

Solutions that support green planning comprise an attractive point for designers.  Workshops from Vectorworks and Gardenphilia Designer, present two different computer programs that facilitate work on planning green areas.  On the other hand, project workshops: “Small space - great potential”, conducted by Agnieszka Hubeny-Żukowska, will deal with the design of small urban gardens with particular consideration to the principles of bio-diversity.  Participants will also work on ideas for reducing garden care costs and changing the approach to gardening work, so that instead of being a duty, it becomes a pleasure for the investor.

In the confines of the extensive accompanying program, there will be a “Knowledge for Producers” seminar, concerning so-called plant passports.  A “Knowledge for Trade” block, directed to owners of garden centers, flower shops and stores, will deal with topics related to price management, marketing at the sales point and applying social media as an effective promotional tool.

BLOOMING BUSINESS

The events program associated with the floral segment is intertwined with plant producers, that being the garden trade.  Fair visitors can take advantage of flower shows encouraging interior design, creation of stylish arrangements from potted plants.  Florists and flower shop owners can participate in industry seminars, e.g. “Visual merchandising – the art of presentation”. Appearances will be creative, practical, and also geared to pro-sale activity.

To present inspiring, surprising, but at the same time useful solutions, we have invited Maciej Krzus and School from Jaworze, Magdalena Kaczmarek-Sidor and Maja Pisula representing Warszawiaki – Event Florist, Zygmunt Sieradzan representing the Polish Florists Association and florists from the Postgraduate Studies in Floristry.  Our special guest is Hans Zijlstra from the Netherlands - known and appreciated as a world master of floristry. He will present the latest trends in a show titled “Floral enchantment. Trends”. An additional attraction during the fair will be the final examination of Postgraduate Studies in Floristry at Warsaw University of Life Sciences, during which 14 students will perform four works - bouquet, table decorations, wedding medley and a large form. On the first day of the exhibition, we will get to know the concept, the selection of materials, the technique of production and the way of presentation. We guarantee freshness in action and creativity!

THE FAIR, A PROVEN BUSINESS PLATFORM

Furthermore, industry guests can hold commercial talks with exhibitors in a specially prepared Meeting Zone. A free fair application is also available for exhibitors.  It will provide current information about exhibitors, the program, as well as facilitate arrangements for business meetings. During the Plant Novelties Competition (the only the only such competition in Poland) an international jury will select the most valuable varieties to be hosted over the coming seasons in the “green market”.  In this special opportunity to promote nurseries in Poland and abroad 33 plants will face the competition for the title this year.

The first two days of the fair are intended for trade visitors. On Saturday, the last day of the exhibition, any gardening enthusiast can visit and take advantage of the plant market, interesting lectures and shows or simply chill out in the relaxation zone. As well as benefit from the Advice Zone, at which experts will answer questions related to garden care.
